Redemption Group Primer is typically offered as a one-day seminar (9:00am–3:00pm) and answers these questions:
-
What is the basic message in Redemption Groups?
God’s story and our stories meet at the cross, with the Exodus story as our pattern.
-
What is the strategy of Redemption Groups as a ministry within a local church?
We’ll talk about how Redemption Groups promote the development of redemptive community throughout the church. Not just a standalone, siloed ministry—a catalyst for every ministry. Also, the basic processes and structures that make for an effective implementation of Redemption Groups.
-
How are Redemption Group leaders shaped and prepared for ministry?
We’ll talk about a character-oriented, experiential learning approach to leadership development.
Who should attend?
-
Lead pastors and other ministry stakeholders
Because their role may not involve them in attending other trainings like Redemption Group Immersion, but they still need to understand the big picture of the ministry and how it works within the church.
-
Prospective Site Leaders
Because they need to understand how to build Redemption Groups.
-
Experienced Redemption Group Leaders
Because they themselves and the groups they lead will benefit from reviewing the foundations of the ministry, and because they will benefit newcomer attendees by contributing to seminar discussions from the perspective of one who has experienced how Redemption Groups work in the real world.
