There’s the theology that a church says it believes, and then there’s what people actually experience in the ministry of that church. How far apart is the explicit theology from the implicit theology in your church?
The culture of your church is a largely a product of this implicit theology of lived experience.
Redemption Groups are a powerful catalyst for church culture, because they involve powerful relational experiences of the redeeming love of Christ in some of the deepest areas of life. What participants experience in these groups can have a huge impact on the community throughout the church as group participants relate to others with renewed gospel vision and personal depth.
Tending a Culture of Grace is an online course focused on values that shape healthy ministry culture:
- Christ-centered ministry
- Entrusting growth to God
- Always needing mercy
Essentially, these are fruits of the Spirit that we seek to express as the Spirit empowers the ongoing change process in our own lives and ministries.
This online course includes four modules, each with multiple lessons, that you can work through at your own pace. The content is primarily audio from lectures by Mike Wilkerson, along with slides as visual aids. The course also involves engaging in online discussions with other students in the course about the topics in the lessons.
